KNOTS
KNOTS
How many eons of years our love has seen
If you could but know—
you would yourself lucky deem—-
Weep not if I should die, and trust me dearest
When I say –our love though eons old will
Young forever be —–’cause we meet both
Here and in realms beyond—in cycles infinite!
Like a pair of birds we swoop down to earth
And sit awhile –carolling, cajoling, mating and
multiplying
Until one day it’s time to fly—far, far, far—-away
How many eons of years our love has seen!
Like a wild breeze passing through a shrub of
Tulsi trees retains it’s sweet odour—,
We too pass through celestial realms
And bring to mortal lands lingering perfumes
Which permeate our lives and souls–so
That our love appears , half-earthly—
half-divine———————,
How many eons of years our love has seen!
Cramming earth with heaven because of
Happiness profuse —we live;
Scattering petals of fulfilled love
On earths bosom —we go;
And like an autumnal forest full of
fall flowers , to dot it’s various paths–
We leave behind, memories sublime
How many years our love has seen!
Eons and eons of years our love has seen—–
Grieve not at this parting brief
And trust me dearest when I say
Our love though eons old will young
forever be—–forever be—-forever be.
